Not All Hand Sanitisers Are Made Equal

COVID 19 propelled one of the biggest surges in hand sanitising products, but are they all effective protection and will we still be giving hand hygiene much thought when this is over?

Although we have all welcomed the good news on a vaccine, it’s clear it will take some time to mobilise the vaccine program and that we will all be living with Covid for the foreseeable. Good hand hygiene is not just for a pandemic, it should be part of everyday life, a daily habit to prevent and protect.

Launching today, Anti75, a trusted antiviral hand santiser has taken a considered approach to launch, spending the time required to develop a sustainable and relevant skincare product for hand hygiene in 2020 and beyond. The product is for those who understand and who recognise that protecting themselves and others with good hygiene isn’t just for pandemics!

With robust research and testing Anti75 has produced a high performance product that provides proven protection for you and your loved ones with no compromise on skincare using premium and natural ingredients.

Founded by two experienced creative entrepreneurs, Ross Cairns and Graeme Dignan, who collectively have over 40 years FMCG expertise and success. They have developed Anti75, a plant-based alcohol hand hygiene solution that complies with the standards listed by WHO and HSE to protect yourselves and others from the spread of virus, manufactured in the UK.

Graeme Dignan comments;

“Like everyone else, we witnessed how the pandemic took hold and realised that we all needed access to protection that works. Our approach was deliberate, committing to developing the highest quality, most effective hand sanitiser, lab proven to be an antiviral product where others were only antibacterial, while being kind to skin. We wanted to develop a product that we would personally use with total confidence.

Equally important to us is consideration for the environment as we move towards ‘free-from’ and ‘plant-based’ products. Our focus was to develop a product that was fully certified biocide rather than just a cosmetic grade and that was effective.

By taking our time, we made sure that sustainability is a core part of the operation, rather than be a casualty of the rush! It’s sustainably packaged, it’s cruelty free, vegan friendly, uses organic oils and plant based alcohol and it doesn’t suffer from the problems of stickiness that so many others do. We put in the miles to bring ingredients and packaging to Anti75 that we could proudly stand behind.

Anti75 is just the beginning of the ‘anti’ activist skincare brand contributing to positive change through thoughtful and honest products always pushing against the status quo.

On the future of the ‘Anti’ umbrella, Ross Cairns comments;

“Hygiene, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal products aren’t going to disappear. If anything, we’ve all become more hygiene aware and we see this translating into many other product types that are part of current regimes. We’ll participate there. Anti in terms of products is a transferrable prefix well beyond sanitisers and in terms of the brand and what it stands for, there’s no shortage of things to push against. Being pro x invariably means being anti y.

As a business, we don’t want to get lost in ‘purpose’ or grand plans. We’re quite realistic about what this is and isn’t. We’d like to keep it straightforward and honest. So, we aim to make products that perform well and are accessible. In the process, we’ll be working towards building a brand that has a stake in positive change in the world and has enough activist attitude of its own to contribute to that change where it can. If that means getting our elbows out on when called for, that’s part of the package.”
