Gray Dawes Group Works with Maiden Voyage to Become Certified Female-Friendly Travel Management Company

Gray Dawes Group, independent travel specialists who expertly deliver niche travel management services, has joined forces with Maiden Voyage, the world’s leading provider of female business traveller safety solutions, to become one of world’s first certified Travel Management Companies (TMCs).

Maiden Voyage is recognised as the leading specialist in female travel safety and in addition to educating travellers, drives the standard for certifying travel provider companies, hotels and indeed TMCs to support the specific needs of female travellers. Certified TMCs undergo an intensive audit and training programme to enable them to advise and prepare their clients to support their female (and LGBTQ+), travellers. In a recent survey conducted by Maiden Voyage, some 42% of female business travellers said they had experienced some form of harassment whilst travelling on business. With employers becoming increasingly aware of their duty of care obligations they are looking to their travel suppliers to tailor their services to cater for diverse traveller groups. Gray Dawes Group have chosen to partner with Maiden Voyage to demonstrate their commitment to better support their clients and their employees.

Suzanne Horner, Chief Executive Officer of Gray Dawes Group said, “As a business, we firmly place the wellbeing and security of our own employees, and those of our clients, at the very forefront of our thinking. I have been aware of Maiden Voyage’s excellent work for some time and I am delighted to see that Gray Dawes will be one of the first UK travel management companies to receive their certification. We have learnt a great deal regarding female-friendly travel management during our accreditation process and remain fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of all travellers through continuing to work closely with Carolyn and her team."

Carolyn Pearson, chief executive officer and founder of Maiden Voyage said, “We are delighted that the Gray Dawes Group are undergoing our certification programme. We’re a great culture and values match and our leadership teams are very much aligned to support female travellers as well as being trail-blazers for making the entire travel industry more female-friendly."
