Makerversity makes the New Radical list

I'm delighted to say Makerversity has been selected by NESTA and The Observer newspaper as one of their 50 New Radicals 2016! This is a prestigious list compiled by the two organisations every two years to recognise the 'most radical thinking individuals and organisations changing Britain for the better'.

Granted we'd be working hard to change Britain for the worse right now but don't let that detract from this incredible accolade.

The list will be published on 10th July in the Observer.

It's an incredibly well respected list with a history of recognizing important orgs and people, it's great to be recognised for impact and mission, and that it will redouble our efforts to be a values based organisation and to continue to develop our support for startups and education / work experience offer for young people from all backgrounds.

"When selecting the New Radicals, the Judges will consider the extent to which, and how well, the entry combines new or familiar elements in an innovative way to meet a social or environmental challenge, utilises new ideas, and is changing Britain for the better, in the fields of Community action, Health, Politics, Science and Technology, Education, Environment, Employment/Jobs, Media, Architecture and the Arts, Business, and Food"

Previous companies to make the list include members of Makerversity, Gravity Light.
