Online video learning specialist Mi Crow goes over well down under

A UK-based video training provider with partners across the globe has secured its first Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Australia.

Mi Crow, which creates bite-sized courses covering a wider range of skills from Microsoft, Gmail and Cyber Security, through to mental health and wellbeing, sales and customer care, has partnered with Victoria-based Aureole Systems.

The deal represents the first MSP partnership for Mi Crow in Australia, where the business already works with Brisbane-based e-learning specialist GO1, providing content for their global platform.

Run by David Edelman, Aureole Systems, services the Baw Baw area offering small businesses and individuals, on-site support and advice on a wide range of IT areas.

Now, by partnering with Mi Crow, Aureole Systems, will have access to a suite of training resources branded in their own style, to help add value to their growing customer base.

Mi Crow allows other partner businesses to access these resources and provide them to their customers via the Mi Crow “nest flix” portal or their own learning management system.

Co-founder Michael Shane comments;

‘We’re delighted to be working with David and Aureole Systems as they are committed to creating extra value for their customers and that’s where we can play a big part.

‘This is an opportunity for them to give something back to their customers that is in addition to their core offering. That is fantastic for their positioning as they can look after their customers and either add an extra revenue stream or simply offer training resources to help attract and retain customers.’

Mi Crow was established as Quasar in 2000, rebranding as Mi Crow in 2018.

Partners can access over 700 bite-sized training videos and incorporate their own branding, adding their logo, strapline, messaging and colours to their portal.

‘Our partnership model is all about helping other businesses, typically MSPs, to help their own customers and offer something of extra value, concludes Michael.

‘We’ve been in business for over two decades but the model has been tweaked over time to focus on the partnership approach and MSPs are where we can add the most value. Aureole Systems are a great partner to have on board as they simply “get it”. I wish them every success with their new offering.’

Commenting on the partnership, Aureole Systems’ David Edelman said;

‘We are all about service and adding value where we can so I am very proud and also hugely excited to be working with Mi Crow. There is a tonne of great content that we can access and that I know our customers will really appreciate.

‘A lot of businesses talk about great customer service but we truly offer that, whether it is our own or in terms of training resources! We’ve already had a lot of interest and I am looking forward to working with Michael and the Mi Crow team going forward.’

In 2009 YouTube finally accepted video in 1080p, the Vatican launched its YouTube Channel and we, that is Linda and Michael Shane, launched Quasar Anytime, our first if not probably ‘the first’ video-based online training solution for Microsoft Office in the UK.

It’s been a hell of a ride and 2,500 videos later we can safely say we’ve learnt a thing or two and we know what works and what doesn’t!

Let’s face it, most online content is long and boring. People, your people, want it easy and simply don’t want to spend a lot of time learning online. They didn’t way back in 2009 and they certainly don’t today.

So we make our videos short, in fact less than 3 minutes long. They get right to the point of learning. That means you learn what you want, when you want and where you want. They are without doubt simply the coolest, quickest, smartest way to learn new skills.
