Trades Business Support Solutions launch innovative business support service set to be a disruptor in the market

Trades Business Support Solutions (TRBSS) has announced the launch of its new business support SaaS, the Solo Explorer. Designed specifically to help small trade businesses grow and reach their goals, the service is powered by B.R.I.A.N, a business support avatar.

The Solo Explorer is an innovative and easy-to-use solution that has been in development for years. It removes complexity and streamlines business management processes, making it easier for users to focus on their business.

The TRBSS team developed their support service after identifying that many small trade businesses across the country were struggling to develop their ideas into something unique and profitable. The Solo Explorer is designed to help these businesses, including those in the construction sector, save time and money while achieving their goals.

The online platform helps businesses to reduce costs, simplify business processes, improve customer service and provide business expansion support. The Solo Explorer is an all-in-one solution that allows businesses to understand their current performance using simple questions and multiple-choice answers. Once completed, they will instantly receive their easy-to-understand exclusive action list which is unique for their business.

Trades Business Support Solutions Ltd (TRBSS) is part of the All Business Support Solutions Group Ltd. TRBSS was started in March 2020, we created the business to supply business consultancy to the Trades, we found that Trades businesses often start up as the tradesman believes they can make more money running their own business or they can do a better job than their boss. They are rarely trained in running a business, they have trained for years to be qualified in their specialism. Then they start their business and find there is more work involved than they expected and often make errors, as they don’t know what they don’t know. Our system solves their issues before they become a problem.

TRBSS and the Kickstart scheme
TRBSS has expanded with the help of employees through the Kickstart scheme. We were well respected by the DWP, with the regional director Mark Peck tweeting about how we treated Kickstart staff, giving them an opportunity of a job, asking them what they would like to try and developing them to be able to happy in their work. The technical side of the platform has been partly developed using young people with no commercial coding experience, they have been guided and trained along the way to build an amazing platform, whilst being project managed by Colin Jolliffe.

Disability Confident Employer
We are a Disability Confidence Employer and a Mindful Plus Employer, a number of the Kickstart Staff had mental or physical disabilities when we took them on. Around 25% of the 70 Kickstart staff we employed had mental health issues, a lot caused by the lockdowns. We helped develop them to become more confident and happier in their work and life in general, feeling supported by the Directors and Aisha the Office Manager. Around 10% had physical disabilities, we found these staff to be positive in the workplace and produced great work, we are advocates on employing people with disabilities, as we don’t look at a person with a disability but a great employee who can add value to the business.

We are a very collaborative business and have created a number of relationships that will help develop the platform further. We have a number of developments in the pipeline, which will help small and micro businesses to build on their business success of using our platform. This will include fully interactive comprehensive forms system that can be accessed on all devises, easy to implement business processes specifically for small businesses to allow them to flourish, a marketplace that will help clients source items and services at a better price than going direct, as we would negotiate to save time and more money than they monthly membership, a community hub so they can get advice from their peers, a news area to stay up to date with business information and news in their sector and a document depository where they can store all their company documents for ease of access.

Colin Jolliffe (Director) 07748 052522 I have 23 years of business consultancy working with many different companies. I worked mainly for medium to large businesses, changing how they worked to allow them to grow quickly. A business I worked on in Essex where I reorganized their systems, went from £100.5M to £131.6M turnover in 18 months. When Alison and I started our businesses we took both are skills and looked at how we could help smaller businesses to become good at business. This led to the All Business Support Solutions Group Ltd being formed. There are 16 companies in the group, all of which have business support solutions in their name. Each one is sector specific to specialise within that business sector.
