Sheffield Vegan Asian Restaurant launches eco-friendly meal subscription service

Staying in is the new going out, and as restaurants all over the country adapt towards the new needs and requirements for a safe dining experience, restaurateurs Nic and Renee Long of Dishi, Sheffield, have developed their lock-down takeaway offering into a complete subscription dining experience.

There is high demand for tasty, locally sourced, plant based and eco-minded meals and as Sheffield’s number #1 Vegan Asian kitchen, DishiDrop have branched out to now deliver their iconic stainless steel containers full of plant-based goodness directly to customers' doors.

Delivered fortnightly or monthly, Dishidrop greatly reduces food waste, removes plastics and single-use products from the takeaway experience and with a seasonal plant-based menu, has a greatly reduced carbon footprint. With a carefully designed menu to ensure 2 diners will feel satisfied and nourished, the curated tiffin tins include a variety of fresh seasonal produce inspired by a single Asian cuisine. The standard Dishidrop includes rice, 2 mains, a fresh vibrant slaw or salad, and flatbread.

For example, a thai-inspired menu may include: Tamarind Peanut Jasmine Rice, Pumpkin Massaman Curry, Tenderstem Panang Curry and a Noodle, Chili, Lime & Pomelo Salad [pictured].

Owners Nic and Renée Long say ‘We deliver stainless steel containers full of plant-based goodness directly to your door to feed your soul, warm your heart and keep you and the planet happy. The next time we deliver, we collect the empty tins to be filled again, ensuring there’s no plastic waste and reducing our carbon footprint. Leave the dinner decisions to us, and be confident that you’re doing good by eating good!’.

Launching in lockdown, Dishidrop has already become a popular option for the restaurants regulars, and one customer said: ‘We've just devoured our first DishiDrop and it was absolutely delicious. So fresh and healthy with just the right level of heat. The tiffin is fab and everything was presented beautifully. I'd definitely recommend!’

Each drop costs £26 to feed two hungry diners, and customers can check their postcode over on https://www.dishidrop.com/
