Norfolk-based architects celebrate 4th anniversary

Atelier Associates, the East Anglian architectural designers renowned for taking on complex projects, celebrated their 4th anniversary on 20th August.

In a short space of time, the company is pleased to have truly carved out a niche in its region, having become the go-to architectural designers for the design of barn conversions on the go, new builds, conversions of nuclear bunkers, and "difficult to secure" planning applications.

Founded by Sarah Barker-Willis and Stephen Sharp, the company has mainly worked around the Norfolk coast area, but has now expanded further afield, and currently has no less than 50 projects on the go.

Atelier Associates has used the occasion of its 4th anniversary to plot its vision for the future, which will be based around upholding its reputation as architectural designers that put great design above all else, working on sometimes challenging locations. While Atelier Associates wants to continue expanding, its top priority is to be recognised for the high quality of its designs.

Sarah Barker-Willis, co-owner of Atelier Associates, said: "The time has absolutely flown by and we are proud to be celebrating our fourth anniversary this summer. As a business, you could say we arrived at the right place at the right time, because of the growing popularity of conversions in the county of Norfolk. But our continued success is down to much more than luck, and is a testament to our superbly talented team of designers, who raise the bar of excellence when it comes to design."

Former nuclear and military bunkers are currently changing hands readily, as savvy investors are recognising the potential that great design adds to all sorts of quirky conversions, and Atelier Associates are perfectly poised to assist.
