BRADFORD CITY SPONSORS SEE SALES UP 20% FOLLOWING CHELSEA WIN

Autoelectro, the shirt rear sponsors of Bradford City Football Club is proving that football club sponsorship really pays following the Bantums surprise win over Chelsea in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. With national sales enquiries up 20% since the 24 February win it’s not only the club who stand to benefit financially.

Managing Director of Bradford based Autoelectro, Tony Bhogal, said, ‘We took over the shirt sponsorship of the Bantums this year, knowing that it would help give us more national brand awareness. The win over Chelsea, though, has effectively given us broad scale mainstream television advertising at a fraction of the price we would have expected to pay. So, not only have we been able to support the good people of Bradford by backing their football team, but we have started to see a very real business benefit with new enquiries up 20% over the last week, and a 10% growth in actual orders from existing customers. We are now looking forward to the next round on 15 February.’

As an exporting company, Autoelectro, see their sponsorship as one of the few ways that they can showcase their name to their international customers too, and the profile the current FA Cup success is giving them is certainly fulfilling their objectives.

Phil Parkinson, Manager at Bradford City, is pleased that the sponsorship is paying off. ‘Autoelectro showed their faith in the club by backing us, and it is really good that we can return the favour with our current form in the Cup,’ he commented, with fingers firmly crossed for the next round.
