Sleeping Well On A Budget

Entrepreneur Darcey Croft, midwife and founder of Barenaturals (www.barenaturals.com) will be featured on ITV Save Money Good Health series with presenters Sian Williams and Dr Ranj Singh.

The episode investigates ways to get a good nights sleep without spending lots of money. Darcey took part in a sleep trial for the show and recorded a series of video diaries at her home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. She is featured as a main case study. The show is on ITV on Tuesday evenings at 1930. The ‘good sleep’ episode is scheduled to air in the next couple of weeks.

As a midwife doing shift work and with the demands of running a successful brand as well, Darcey was perfect for a sleep deprived candidate for the show.

Darcey said of the experiment: ‘It was interesting to document and measure how poorly I slept, I couldn't believe how many times I awoke throughout the night and when I did the trial of taking herbal sleeping tablets, how much difference a quality sleep made on my daily productivity and emotions’.

Barenaturals is a social enterprise brand based in Beaconsfield, making candles that support the planting of ten trees for each candle they sell in areas of deforestation and provide jobs and alleviate poverty for local communities. Barenaturals was recently featured in the national press as an upcoming brand to watch.
