Founded in 2013, the Royal Bank of Scotland Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom.

It celebrates the incredible stories that have taken entrepreneurs to where they are today, regardless of size or turnover. The 2019 programme sees the Awards held in eight regions – Midlands, Wales, the South West, the North East, the North West, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and London & the South East.

Central to the ethos of the Royal Bank of Scotland Great British Entrepreneur Awards is being more than just ‘an awards ceremony’ – its sense of community, a thriving eco-system of support all year round, providing opportunities for winners and finalists to connect and showcase their business.

The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names, including:

Julie Deane OBE, Cambridge Satchel Co.

James Watt, BrewDog

Shaun Pulfrey, Tangle Teezer

Hannah & Sophie Pycroft, Spectrum Collections

Alan & Juliet Barratt, Grenad

Founder and Owner of BeautyBooker, Kate Stott says “I am thrilled to have made it through as a finalist to the regional finals. It truly feels like a reward for all the hard work that our registered salons, freelancers and I have made since launch and along with the years of working on the concept of BeautyBooker itself. To receive recognition from such an award ceremony as The Royal Bank of Scotland Great British Entrepreneur platform feels incredible and I look forward to attending the finals.”

"BeautyBooker was developed to create an innovative & unique way in bringing salons & customers closer together in one seamless system. Our app is designed with both salons & customers in mind.

For our salons & freelancers, we’re removing the need for endless, time-consuming social media updates to fill appointments or to have to give away significant discounts to fill a last-minute gap in your day.

It provides our customers the convenience of booking appointments with our registered salons & freelancers all in one place…and take advantage of our ground-breaking last-minute appointments…all in one easy to use app that has you a couple of clicks away from being able to #bookthelook"

The Regional finals will take place in Glasgow on the 1st of October 2019 with the National finals being held in London on November 21st 2019.

About BeautyBooker Limited

It all started with an endless search for a last-minute nail appointment 3 years ago. The task was time consuming and frustrating and proved that there was no real directory for services in the area that could be accessed quickly and efficiently. Ever since then BeautyBooker have aimed to provide a platform to promote Hair & Beauty appointments for the North East of Scotland. Within a market that has become saturated throughout the North East and nationally, BeautyBooker wanted to find a way to promote local businesses that were not necessarily the ones with the highest number of followers on social media. Our vision is to create a brand so strong and on trend that everyone who holds an interest in hair and beauty has the app on their phone. We don’t just want to be an app, we envision a whole entire movement; in our eyes owning a copy of Vogue and having access to BeautyBooker will be the same thing: A timeless brand that allows you to keep ahead of trends but with the ability to book them instantly. Thus, where our #bookthelook tag line applies. With a vision so robust and a passion to deliver we know this will be the most exciting thing to disrupt the market since the invention of GHDs and Charlotte Tilburys Pillow Talk Lipliner! Launching on iOS on the 18th of March 2019, BeautyBooker now boasts a full range of appointments from across the city of Aberdeen and a constantly growing list of social media followers and over 850 downloads to date. Founder & Owner Kate Stott lives in Aberdeen and has worked on the concept of BeautyBooker for the last 3.5 years.
