Billy Tannery to exhibit for the first time at London’s Best of Britannia show
Billy Tannery is a unique new British leather brand with a range of luxury products made from kid leather tanned in its new small-batch tannery near Northampton. Billy Tannery will exhibit its leather goods for the first time at next week’s Best of Britannia show at the Old Truman Brewery, alongside a host brands celebrating Buy British Day on 12th October.
A story of waste into worth, Billy Tannery takes goat hides that were an unwanted by-product of the food industry and transforms them into beautiful, sustainably tanned leather. Founders Jack Millington and Rory Harker, both 29 from the Midlands, have been mentored in the craft by leather industry veterans from the nearby Northampton, a town famous for its leather heritage.
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, where they smashed their funding target by over 200%, Best of Britannia is the first time Billy Tannery products will be on shown to the trade and public.
Founder Jack Millington said,
“The amazing support that we saw for our crowdfunding campaign earlier this year shows the appetite for unique British-made products. We are delighted to be debuting our products at Best of Britannia, among so many other inspiring British brands.”
Best of Britannia is an uplifting and inspirational retail and events platform for the growing number of people looking to purchase high quality products, made right here in Britain by people who take great pride in making things beautifully. Taking place at the Old Truman Brewery on London’s Brick Lane, the 2-day event begins on 12th October, which is Buy British Day.
