Blossoms Syrup launches £150,000 crowdfunding campaign to scale up: Buckinghamshire-based

Blossoms Syrup is a unique British premium brand based in Buckinghamshire.

Launched in 2010, Blossoms syrup produces the world's only non heat-treated and intense natural syrups.

Blossoms Syrup has launched a £150,000 campaign on crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to scale up. The company is offering 23.08% equity in return for investment, which gives the company a pre-money valuation of £500,000. The company was founded by Aude Dupont Dudley and produces 15 super-premium syrups. The investments will be used to recruit, prioritising local women wanting to return to work in sales, marketing, operations, admin and also for brand exposure, NPD and expand overseas.

Blossoms Syrup began in Aude's family kitchen after she gave up her career in the aerospace industry. The syrups had to be unique in taste and provide the quality and intensity required by bartenders. The syrups have become premium ingredients for cocktails and food recipes. The company started supplying Michelin-starred bars such as Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay in 2012. Today, Blossoms syrup also supplies premium wholesalers, giving it access to hundreds of independents and food halls in the UK.

The vision for Blossoms Syrup is simple:

Remember how Fever Tree knocked Schweppes off its monopoly in the tonic sector?

Blossoms syrup has the capacity to do the same in the syrup industry in the UK and Internationally.

About Blossoms Syrup Ltd

I like to compare my mission to what Fever Tree did to Schweppes 10 years ago in the tonic sector ie knocked it off its monopoly with a quality offering. Founded in 2010, Blossoms Syrup is a unique British producer of premium, natural, most intense and versatile syrups. I launched it to supply the HoReCa and I still single managed the business. I supply Michelin Star restaurants and bars and other producers too. I had couple of flavours in M&S but now they are mainly sold by farm shops and delis and online retailers. I also exported the syrups to Europe. I thought I could grow the business organically and on my own. As a middle aged woman and mumpreneur, I now realise that I can not grow the business on my own and have started a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. This is a new experience for me and I am not finding this easy. I want to raise capital to be able to recruit mainly women that want to return to work but do not have faith in themselves. I am trying to inspire the investors but it is hard to make people believe in the potential of your brand. My syrups have won many awards for its quality. I have personally invested money in years in my business and want to make Blossoms Syrup the reference brand in its sector.
