Sex Lives Of Arsenal's fans At Risk As Supporters Choose Football Over Partners

New research has discovered that some football fans in England are putting their sex lives on the line because of their undying loyalty to their clubs. These findings are particularly significant for South England where almost 50% of supporters have admitted that winning a trophy is better than sex. The peak was reached by Arsenal fans with an impressive 67%.

To make things worse, in the Greater London area, 27% of Premier League supporters have admitted to having thought about footballers or football while having sex. In the midlands, late goals are particularly appreciated with 22 per cent of Leicester's fans claiming that scoring a last-minute winner is better than getting their leg over.

If we discount Merseyside where the results are in line with the South, the North has different priorities with 83% of football fans that prefer having sex to their team winning a trophy.

The team at www.BettingTips4You.com conducted the research as part of

an ongoing study into Briton’s attitudes towards football, betting and personal life. 2,889 Premier League football fans aged 18 and over, all of whom stated that they were in a committed relationship, were quizzed about football and their sex-life. The poll has revealed several interesting insights into the relationships and bedrooms of football fans.

Even though David Beckham has been out of the game for a few years now, he is still the most popular player that supporters are thinking while having sex (29%). Astonishingly Becks is the most popular choice among Liverpool fans with a quarter of Reds fans thinking about him when making love (26%). This is just marginally lower than Manchester United fans (28%).

Although he hasn't had a great time since moving from Arsenal, lots of Gunners fans are still thinking about Alexis Sanchez while having sex-making sessions (22%).

Cristiano Ronaldo the second-most popular among all fans when getting it on (24%). The Juventus star is followed by England captain Harry Kane (18%), Welsh star Gareth Bale (15%) and Lionel Messi (9%). Perhaps surprising for the Gunner's side of North London, fans have their own favourite in the bedroom with a quarter of Arsenal supporters thinking about Mezut Ozil during sex.

All of the responses were collated, and some of the results were as follows:

John Pentin, Editor in Chief of BettingTips4You.com, commented:

"The survey doesn't read well for Arsenal's fans but also for the South of England. Those fans are clearly putting their relationships on the line by allowing their football frustrations to enter their bedrooms. Considering how long it has been since Arsenal has won a major title, the result is perhaps not too surprising, but thinking of Ozil while getting their leg over surely is."
