East London café looks forward to third birthday with a string of successes under its belt
Offering imaginative cuisine inspired by food from around the world, Bühler & Co is an east London café that turns three in March, and which has already become something of a local institution.
As it looks ahead to its birthday, it can reflect on some great successes, including adding an evening menu three nights a week, having already established a successful daytime service.
At the same time, the eatery has recently made its food available for people to enjoy wherever they are, thanks to a new Deliveroo set-up.
Owner Rosie Bühler says: “We love running the café, and it’s been great to see how it’s become so popular locally. We’re lucky to have so many great suppliers in the area, including the fantastic traders who keep us stocked with coffee, milk, bread, juices and beers. We believe our menus are highly creative, with flavours from around the world.”
The new evening menu is served in the bright, airy premises from Thursday to Saturday and includes small sharing plates, and is vegetarian with numerous vegan and gluten-free options. It incorporates global dishes from Hungarian dumplings to soft-flour burritos. Meanwhile for pudding diners can choose from home-made limoncello, affogato and classic crème brûlée.
This complements the day-time menu and the café is open from 8 am for breakfast. Home-made granola, sourdough toast and bulgur cakes are all on offer.
In the evening, all sizes of parties can be booked in, but during the day bookings are only taken for groups of 10 or more customers.
