Burleigh Court Hotel (Cotswolds) under new ownership
The Hotel was just sold to a trio of first-time hotel owners James & Corinna Rae and Simon Austin (ex manager at the Royal Crescent, Bath) – all directors of Moonflight Ltd.
The married couple will be taking the established hotel business forward together with business partner Simon Austin at the operational helm. Simon recently left his manager position at the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath to pursue the purchase of Burleigh Court together with James and Corinna – management consultants from London.
Based on the motto ‘eat well, sleep well, feel well' the new ownership promises a captivating experience of country charm with a splash of luxury served by a highly skilled team.
Steeped in history and overlooking the golden valleys, Burleigh Court Hotel is little known at present and often referred to it as a 'hidden gem' by guests. It has 18 individually design bedrooms and a two-rosettes restaurant with great potential for significant revenue increase. The new ownership will be rolling out a fresh approach and an inspired portfolio of new experiences including outside lounging and BBQs, wood-fire dining, in-room massages and casual pre-dinner receptions where guests have the chance to mingle over complimentary drinks. James, Corinna and Simon are set on Burleigh Court's gradual transition into a haven of heaven in the Cotswolds Hills.
Simon says: “The three of us share a great passion for hospitality and knowledge of what good hosting looks and feels like. At Burleigh Court we now have the opportunity to create a place of intimate hospitality that will be truly special”.
Simon adds: “A unique merge of modern and traditional styles will be at the heart of Burleigh Court and the spirit of generosity will infuse everything we do and offer at the hotel. The restaurant menu will be seasonal and draw on our soon-to-be kitchen garden. Happy free range chicken will produce organic eggs on site. Products will be regional and sustainably sourced with focus on quality and flavours. Based on the simple motto ‘eat well, sleep well, feel well, we promise a relaxed and accessible countryside experience with captivating warmth and a splash of luxury managed by a highly skilled team".
James and Corinna add: “With its warm country house charm, Burleigh feels wonderfully set back from the busyness of everyday life. Coming from London, this is an asset we cherish and retain while bringing in a fresh approach during the re-brand and a gradual make-over. We do not want to re-invent Burleigh Court but build on the good that is already here. We are excited to have Simon Austin on board and his many years of hospitality knowledge acquired in the luxury boutique hotel market”.
