The rise of females in motorsport - perfume goes racing
Petrolhead Perfume sponsors female racing driver Jo Polley
Perfume brand ByKathryn is proud to announce sponsorship of racing driver Jo Polley for 2019.
Kicking off the season on 13th – 14th April at Croft Circuit, contender, Polley will be racing in a baby pink Mini, wrapped with Petrolhead’s signature oil slick for the Mini 7 S-Class Series Championships.
First female-led brand to sponsor a female driver
We believe we are the first female-led brand to headline sponsor a female racing driver. Although Yardley once sponsored McLaren in the 70’s, sponsorship across motorsport has always been more male orientated and we are calling for a change.
Motorsport competition offers a level playing field for men and women, but it’s certainly not all equal when it comes to sponsorship and therefore opportunity. With more sponsorship available for female racing drivers, they stand a better chance of success.
And with more successful female racing drivers than ever before, now is the perfect time for female-focused brands to sponsor drivers, male and female, because it is not just men who watch motorsport!
Leading the way with our latest venture with Polley, we’re hoping to encourage a more diverse array of brands to get involved in sponsoring all the drivers of motorsport, and especially the women, to widen the offer and interest for those watching and supporting the evolving world of motorsport.
