Harlow care firm says World Health Day ‘ideal chance’ to consider domiciliary care

A Harlow-based provider of domiciliary care is marking World Health Day on April 7th, and says the World Health Organisation-run event is the perfect opportunity for people to think about healthcare at home for those closest to them.

Care Just4U provides care for the elderly and others who may be vulnerable in their own homes, in Harlow and the surrounding area, under the motto ‘Your care, the way you want it’.

Owner of the company Ifeoma Achomadu explained: “We aim to provide high-quality, affordable care to those who prefer to remain living independently at home while receiving the extra support they need. We’re very focused on the individual.

“This year’s theme for World Health Day, about access to affordable health treatment for everyone who needs it, is one we fully endorse. We think the occasion is also the perfect chance to think more widely about the care loved ones need. And we believe that, where possible, people have the right to continue living at home with good support.”

Services provided by Care Just4U range from assisted living to 24-hour support to palliative care, as well as assistance with travel to appointments or help with tasks such as housework, shopping or gardening.

World Health Day is marked on April 7th every year. It has been held since the early 1950s and campaigns under a different banner each time. It is celebrated with a string of events globally.

This year’s theme is about ensuring that people don’t have to choose between healthcare and other basic needs, but have support to medical treatment wherever they are.
