Family-run care provider is hiring locally

Downham Market-based Carers Elite Ltd is hiring locally and supplies carers for residential homes while also offering home care provided by its more experienced staff.

The company, established in 2015 by owner Jonathon Lofthouse, was a finalist in the Business of the Year category for the King’s Lynn area in 2018, in a local awards scheme.

With nearly 50 members of staff, it organises care at home for 85 people, while also supplying carers to nine care homes.

Additionally, it offers a broad line-up of independence aids to make life easier at home, from mobility scooters to jar openers.

Lofthouse, who previously worked in a variety of sectors including health and safety, says: “We started out with a small office initially. But we’ve now expanded to take over a double shopfront in Downham Market’s High Street. Over the last few years, we’ve continued to grow steadily, and go from strength to strength.

“The start of this new year has already been very busy for us, and we’re expecting that that will continue. Whether you’re looking for staff or work within the care sector, we’d love to hear from you.”

Carers Elite uses a rigorous 14-point vetting process to guarantee the suitability and experience of each co-worker. Clients receive a profile before the staff member has started their first shift, and all have current DBS (formerly CRB) badges as well as their own uniform.

“As for our co-workers, we offer a great support network and the chance to develop within a thriving, energetic healthcare agency,” concluded Lofthouse.
