Expand your child’s horizons: Code Ninjas teams up with Microsoft MakeCode for exciting new Prodigy Program
Has your child ever wondered what it is like behind the scenes of their favourite games? They might love playing Minecraft, but have they ever thought about the incredible world that brought Minecraft to life? Imagine if they could not only play the game but also understand how it all works and even discover potential future careers.
Code Ninjas, the kids coding experts, are all about igniting your child’s curiosity and creativity. That is why they are excited to introduce the Prodigy Program, an adventure that takes your child beyond the screen and into the heart of the technology they love.
The Prodigy Program is a first-of-its-kind extra-curricular initiative tailored for parents seeking top-notch opportunities for their children. Aptly named Ninjas, students have the unique opportunity to delve behind the scenes of the world’s leading tech and gaming giants. The program goes beyond just teaching code – it equips Ninjas with robust coding skills and provides a genuine grasp of the real-world tech industry.
“We’ve teamed up with Microsoft MakeCode to bring your child an experience like no other,” said Navin Guraney, CEO of Code Ninjas. “This isn’t just about playing games – it’s about understanding them from the inside out. Think of it as an exclusive backstage pass to the universe that creates the games they adore.”
As its first partner, Microsoft MakeCode will expose Prodigy Program participants to a captivating curriculum that spans everything from game design to hardware programming. With a focus on providing practical skills, Ninjas will not just acquire technical prowess – they will also gain a first-hand understanding of the inner workings of a global tech leader. It is an opportunity designed to give your child a solid foundation and a glimpse into the tech world’s endless possibilities.
“Partnering with Code Ninjas on the Prodigy Program perfectly aligns with our mission to empower, inspire and enable the next generation of technology creators and innovators,” said Jaqueline Russell, Program Manager of Microsoft MakeCode. “We're eager to see what these young minds will create and contribute to the world of technology.”
As part of this program, three lucky Ninjas will have the chance to win a highly sought-after Microsoft Surface Pro 9, plus an exclusive virtual tour of the renowned Microsoft headquarters – AKA Minecraft HQ! – on 29th September. Ninjas will get to virtually meet the Minecraft and MakeCode teams and partake in exclusive interviews with professionals from XBOX, Bing and AI.
Applications for the Prodigy Program are now open, and selections will be made by the individual Code Ninjas centres across the UK. Find and contact your local centre to find out how to enter your child at https://www.codeninjas.co.uk/locations
