Kids coding provider collaborates with global tech brands to put the fun back in ‘Back to School’

It’s time for kids to explore a world where they write the code.

Code Ninjas, the largest and fastest-growing kids coding franchise, is collaborating with global innovative technology brands to relieve any pressures felt by children already feeling overwhelmed by returning to the classroom this autumn. The brand has partnered with Microsoft MakeCode, Joylabz Makey Makey and Hue Camera to help all children across the globe feel included in the run-up to the new school year, helping to reduce as much anxiety at this time as possible.

Code Ninjas and its partners are encouraging children to take part in coding activities, games and projects that explore whatever coding might mean to them. In building children’s confidence in coding, as well as providing them with a space where they feel accepted no matter their level of knowledge, Code Ninjas is hoping to reduce the nervous energy that can surround the weeks before and after returning to school after a summer break. With tech giants supporting the brand in its mission to help reduce this anxiety, it is evident how monumental Code Ninjas has been in creating a positive change in children’s wellbeing and confidence development.

“Returning to school after the summer break can bring a multitude of emotions for children, including excitement and eagerness, but also apprehension,” states Jim Davidson, Vice President of Marketing at Code Ninjas. “Our mission is to create a dynamic online space to bring as many children as possible a programme where they can improve their self-efficacy in the educational sector. Our partners share our passion to reduce the anxiety that surrounds the beginning of the new school year, and with the brands’ support we can help as many children as possible feel confident about returning to the classroom.”

Code Ninjas’ campaign will be running until September, with the aim of covering the full range of the back-to-school season. The franchise will be introducing new elements throughout this time to encourage the children to build on their coding skillset whilst exploring their newly built world.

Sarah Bannon, Curriculum Developer at Code Ninjas, adds, “The activities in this promotion are dynamic, and themes range from planes and aerospace to submarines and shipwrecks. The variety of activities available and the mixed difficulty levels mean all kids with all different interests and skillsets will be included, even those without previous coding experience. At Code Ninjas we want all children to be included, and hope that each young coder will enjoy building and exploring their virtual world in their own way.”
