Rise of the kid coders: your successors are younger than you think!
In the UK, there is a significant shortage of upskilled coders in the tech industry.
• The number of young people opting to study STEM subjects is up 26.2% since 2010
• However, Institution of Engineering and Technology research suggests that many STEM graduates fail to enter the workplace due to their lack of practical skills
• 73% of UK engineering and technology companies said they experienced problems with job candidates
• Problems cited were that practical experience failed to match academic knowledge

Yes! There is a whole generation of young coders who not only have knowledge of the technology industry, but also possess the practical, hands-on experience required by future employers. They are just younger than you think.
