Show off your creativity by using a new online portfolio viewed by employers and industry professionals

The next generation of performers, artists, designers and other creatives will now find it easier to showcase their talents to potential employers and higher education institutions, thanks to the launch of online portfolio platform Creative Portal.

The platform, which will be launched by the end of this summer, will allow creatives to create a free online portfolio that will display their education and employment information, as well as details and work relating to their skills and talents.

Mike Cobb-Pernak, co-director of Creative Portal, said: “After 40 years of being involved in the creative sector, mainly through teaching, I kept noticing the struggle that students go through to showcase their talents and get noticed by the right people- be that higher education institutions, industry insiders or potential employers. The Creative Portal platform aims to plug that gap and support the next generation of creatives.”

Those looking for creatives will be able to search the platform to find and engage with the next generation of talent.

Mike and his team hope that the platform will provide new opportunities for undiscovered creatives through work placements and internships, apprenticeships, and employment schemes.

The platform will also offer creatives the chance to search for opportunities to exhibit, audition and perform, and the ability to seek advice from others.

Mike added: “It’s often said that a lack of soft skills is causing a real problem in the job market, so to combat this, Creative Portal also offers an interactive programme to develop and hone those all-important soft skills, including communication, leadership, resilience and team work.”

“Soft skills, coupled with an individual’s own talents, will enable Creative Portal members to differentiate themselves from the crowd and land that dream role,” said Mike.

As part of the growth plans for the business, Mike and his team are hoping to raise money to develop new services which will be of benefit to the creatives that will use Creative Portal. To get in touch and make a donation please contact Mike Cobb-Pernak.

About Creative Portal

Creative Portal is an online hub for artists to display and promote their work. Founder and co-director Mike Cobb-Pernak started the business after spending over 40 years teaching in the creative sector. The hope is that the portal becomes the 'go-to' online gallery for up-and-coming and established creatives, whether they be artists, musicians, actors or others in the creative professions.
