New strawberry and cream cocktail created for Wimbledon

With the UK's summer social season on the way, cocktail specialists unveil new drink.

Drink 'A' Mix, the capital's cocktail and bar tending experts, have announced the creation of a new cocktail especially for The Championships, Wimbledon.

Customers can look forward to a strawberry and cream cocktail which has been specially created for the tennis showpiece, which takes place every year at the All England Club.

Strawberries and cream is a snack which is synonymous with Wimbledon fortnight, and the British summer as a whole, and crowds at SW14 will now have an exciting new refreshing drink option which is inspired by the fruit and dairy combo.

Drink 'A' Mix anticipates that this quintessentially British cocktail will become a new star of the summer season which is famous all over the world for its series of sporting spectaculars - from Wimbledon itself to the Henley Royal Regatta, Cartier Polo, Ascot races and Test cricket at Lord's.

The perfectly balanced beverage offers a satisfying creamy texture along with the revitalising strawberry burst, offering a compelling alternative to the tired 'Pimms and lemonade' formula which for some had become an overly familiar staple drink for the summer months.

A company spokesperson for Drink 'A' Mix said: "We are delighted to announce the launch of our new strawberry and cream cocktail in time for The Championships, Wimbledon, which will commence this July. While home favourite Andy Murray's fitness might be in doubt, we are absolutely positive that our new addition will be a hit, as it takes the best elements of a classic recipe and uses them to create a remarkable new cocktail creation. If you want to enjoy the best of the British summer in a glass, ditch the Pimms and settle down in front of the tennis with our strawberry and cream cocktail."
