Swansea valley business gets shortlisted for national award!

EAS Wales based near Ystradgynlais gets short listed for the Great British entrepreneur, young entrepreneur of the year award. Nieaal Williams a local man from Ynyswen was nominated and been shortlisted for the award at 24 Years old.

Founded in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom.

The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names.Previous winners include the founders of BrewDog, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, Clearscore & The Cambridge Satchel Company.

Judges of the awards include Hayley Parsons, who founded Go Compare, Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO awards.

Nieaal a previous pupil of Ysgol Maesydderwen, and always involved with medical work including Saint John Ambulance, set up EAS Wales in 2018 after working for the NHS for 4 years. In two years the company has grown from just one or two people being involved and one vehicle to six vehicles and around 50 subcontractors working across Europe providing ambulance transport, event medical cover and medical and rescue cover on film and TV sets.

This award is one of many earned by Nieaal for his medical work including a rotary club community service award, A young achievers award presented by princess Anne in Buckingham Palace, and a Grand prior award.

Winning this award would be an amazing honour for Nieaal and EAS Wales. Over the past few months during the Covid 19 pandemic multiple staff and vehicles from EAS Wales have been out working along side other companies supporting the NHS, the award will be an amazing achievement and helps with the recognition of what EAS Wales has achieved over the last year.
