eastcoastdigital heralds modern era following World Post Day

eastcoastdigital, a leading digital services provider in Norfolk, has taken the opportunity following World Post Day to reflect on the rapid development of marketing and communications over the past few years.

World Post Day, which took place on Wednesday 9th October, marked the anniversary of the Universal Postal Union's launch, back in 1874. Countries around the world took part in the celebrations, which sought to highlight the role of the post in helping to continue development in regions of the world which need it the most, working towards Sustainable Development Goals.

eastcoastdigital has used the occasion as a platform to voice its own thoughts on the progression of the way in which individuals, and businesses, communicate. The firm has been right at the forefront of digital development in the East Anglia region, and has seen first hand the way that search engine optimisation (SEO) and social media have completely changed commercial and recreational use of the internet. The company feels that on World Post Day, it is apt that the positive changes in communication are also given some prominence.

Gary Maudlin, owner of eastcoastdigital, said: "We feel that postal services will always have their place, and as the predecessor to today's communications landscape, it is only right that we celebrate this medium.

“The occasion is also an opportunity to take stock of how far we have come in marketing and communications over the years. Today, we can send an email which reaches the recipient in a matter of seconds, send out live video of events as they take place to a targeted audience, and make large documents available to download to somebody across the world. The digital era has lowered costs and increased convenience!"
