Bucket List Plan helps people realise their dreams

A unique serious illness policy is helping people plan for the future and achieve their life’s ambitions should they be diagnosed with a life-changing medical diagnosis.

Many people have a wish list of things they would like to experience in life, often known as a Bucket List. And now it is possible to fulfil those dreams thanks to the Bucket List Plan, a one of its kind life insurance policy that has been launched by Resurety.

The plan allows policyholders to create their own personalised Bucket List that pays out if they are diagnosed with a terminal illness or suffer a serious injury or disease. As part of the benefit the recipient is provided with a full concierge service that books and organises all the elements of their Bucket List. In addition a friend or family member can experience the activities and holidays with them too.

The Bucket List Plan has been created by David Abingdon, Managing Director of Resurety who has 32 years’ experience of developing and launching insurance products, he said: “It’s a simple fact of life that many of us don’t know what’s around the corner.

“Some people have insurance policies that are designed to pay out when they receive the unfortunate news that they have been diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness.

“But these policies can be quite expensive in proportion to cash pay-out and often the money is put into a bank account and is never used by the insured person.

“At Resurety, we wanted to design a policy that is affordable, within the financial reach of most people and where the recipient was able to experience all of the things that they had always wanted to do. The Bucket List Plan does just that and has been designed to make it as easy as possible for the insured to realise their dreams.”

The Bucket List Plan offers two levels of cover, ‘Standard’ and ‘Elite’. The Plan pays out on one of three events:

1. If the insured is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and are is expected to die within 12 months.

2. If the insured suffers a life-changing serious illness or injury that prevents them from carrying out certain day to day functions or

from working in their own or similar occupation.

3. If they die.
