International coach for women says Rose Review hits the issue on the nail.

Ex BBC producer turned international women’s coach, Esther Stanhope has praised the research and findings of the Rose Review on increasing opportunities for women both in the workplace and in their own entrepreneurial right.

‘We have a huge number of potentially successful women in the UK, but many lack the confidence to stand in the spot light. Building that confidence is at the very heart of the country benefiting from the immense but underutilised resource of female entrepreneurship. There are now more start ups created by women than there are their male counterparts, but male driven businesses tend to grow faster. Today’s review highlights this, and puts the spotlight on the need to build support programmes for fabulous aspiring female leaders of the future,” says Stanhope.

‘Since leaving the BBC, my focus has been on working on the confidence challenges women face when put on the business pedestal….issues such as imposter syndrome, self esteem, and appearance as much as underlying business skills, as we try to redress the imbalance of women in the boardroom,’ adds Stanhope, ‘and today’s review is both timely, coinciding with International Women’s Day, as well as very welcome.’
