MINI, Dell and NatWest join the line-up for the Great British Entrepreneur Award

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2014, in association with Bizcrowd, is delighted to announce MINI, NatWest and Dell have joined the line-up of sponsors.

Joining Bizcrowd, AXA Business Insurance, Croner, Exact, Kaspersky Lab, Kingston Smith and XLN, the three blue-chip brands will be celebrating the endeavours of the UK’s entrepreneurs, acknowledging their contributions to the British economy.

Launched in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards has already been hailed the new benchmark for entrepreneurial success in the UK. With a focus on the entrepreneurial story rather than the balance sheet, the inaugural awards recognised 49 entrepreneurs for their creativity, innovation, extraordinary resilience and entrepreneurial integrity.

Chris Brownridge, Director MINI UK, said: “Entrepreneurs by their nature are inspiring, creative and innovative people, qualities which resonate strongly with MINI. We have thousands of associates in the UK at our manufacturing sites, dealerships and sales and marketing offices, and we benefit from a wide talent pool that boasts all of these qualities. MINI is excited to be supporting and celebrating entrepreneurial success in the wider business community through sponsorship of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.”

Sarah Shields, Dell UK’s General Manager and Executive Director for Consumer and Small and Medium Enterprises, said: “Our commitment to the entrepreneurial community is stronger than ever. Last year we launched the Dell UK Centre for Entrepreneurs underlining our commitment to help developing businesses grow and scale quickly. Events such as the Great British Entrepreneur Awards are hugely important to us as they not only provide an opportunity for us to show our support for British innovation, they allow us to hear directly from entrepreneurs about their current challenges and what else we can do to help.”

Peter Ibbetson, Chairman of Business Banking, NatWest and RBS, said: “Our aim at NatWest is to support entrepreneurs and start-ups through finance and guidance, and help the UK economy grow. The Great British Entrepreneur Awards provides a great opportunity to inspire future entrepreneurs by hearing the stories of people who’ve made a success of their ideas and built thriving businesses.”

“It is fantastic for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards to have the support of these renowned brands, Bizcrowd and our other major sponsors,” comments Simon Burton, Founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. “Entrepreneurs nationwide deserve to be recognised for their contributions, successes and originality and we are looking forward to seeing which entrepreneurial stories are told over the next few months.”
