MENOPAUSE MANDATE - Join them for World Menopause day

MENOPAUSE MANDATE:

CHAIR AND RALLY ANNOUNCEMENT

In the lead-up to World Menopause Day on the 18th October, Menopause Mandate is thrilled to announce that broadcaster Mariella Frostrup is taking on the role of Chair.

We'd also like to introduce and thank our patrons, who are giving their time so generously to the cause: Carolyn Harris MP, Cherry Healey, Michelle Griffith Robinson, Penny Lancaster, Gabby Logan, Davina McCall, Lavina Mehta, Lisa Snowdon, Carol Vorderman and are delighted to share that Cherry Healy has also just joined us.

Our aims remain the same in what is currently a bleak looking landscape for women's health. Education for all, both women and healthcare professionals, and affordable and accessible treatment, whether that be HRT or other options.

And, of course, we want to keep menopause high profile. Government interest in the subject may have faded, but the millions of women currently going through, or facing menopause in the future, aren't going anywhere.

We hope as many as possible will join us at our rally on College Green, Westminster, from 4.30 - 5.30pm on the 18th October. All are welcome to come and make some noise, and we have two major announcements to make.

We have a Menopause Mandate partnership with Holland & Barrett, who has funded a project that aims to support many women currently struggling with symptoms.

Secondly, we are launching a project in collaboration with Harmsworth Media and Holland & Barrett, that demonstrates the breadth of the problems that we currently face.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of all our sponsors. We are both grateful and privileged to work with them. With thanks to Dark Horses, DMG Media, Harmsworth Media. Holland & Barrett, Sytner Group, Dentons, gunnercooke LLP and Let's All Talk Menopause.

Mariella Frostrup, broadcaster

'I am honoured and delighted to be Chair of Menopause Mandate, and to be working with such an extraordinary group of supporters; politicians, campaigners, grassroots organisations and our patrons. We came together because of the way in which women have been and continue to be treated during menopause. It is by no means near the top of any agenda and,is still not taken seriously. That's what we're here to rectify.'

Carolyn Harris, MP

'Menopause Mandate is about every person who deserves to be able to easily access the support and treatment they need.'
