Speakers Share Their Top Tips to Help Your Business Grow

Some of the leading business professionals speaking at ‘Thrive Yorkshire Business Growth Conference’ on 24th September, have got together and produced their Top Tips for small businesses that not only want to grow, but thrive.

The tips are a small insight into what to expect on the day from the likes of Keynote speaker Kate Hardcastle (Insight with Passion), talking about ‘Putting the #OOMPH in your business’. Deborah Ogden (Positive Impact Coach) sharing her knowledge on ‘Personal Branding and making a positive impact’, Julia Felton (Business Horse Power), telling us how to ‘Build relationships to boost your business’ and Chris Allen (Blacks Law) sharing ‘How a small business can use social media to its advantage’

Tip 1. Be in the room, whatever you have agreed to do, commit to it. If you are in a meeting, focus 100 per cent and give your all in that meeting.

Tip 2. Write three things down each day that you really must do or achieve. Agree with yourself a list of things that can be done tomorrow or not at all if needed. Don’t set unrealistic challenges for yourself.

Tip 3. The most successful brands are unique and reflect the personality and individuality of the person. They should always be authentic, people spot a fraud. As Oscar Wilde said ‘Be Yourself, everyone else is taken’.

Tip 4. People buy People. Fact. If people like and trust you, chances are they will buy whatever you are selling, be it a product, service or idea.

Tip 5. Stop focusing on the money, focus on building relationships if you want to grow your business.

Tip 6. Social Media isn’t a dark art, it’s just another marketing tool that can be used to raise awareness of your products/services…and it’s FREE!!

In addition to the six Yorkshire based speakers, there will also be a minimum of nine ‘mini-surgeries’ that delegates can attend on topics such as PR, sales, auto-enrolment, email marketing and business planning.
