Celebrate National Cat Day with a purrfect service at Kenley Cattery
Cat owners across South London and the surrounding areas are invited to celebrate National Cat Day, 29th October, by pampering their feline at the cattery with a personal service.
Froglands Purrfection Cattery, which opened its doors in July, offers the personal touch in cat housing including fully insulated pens and individual thermostatic radiators in each pen with a 24/7 vet service and Isolation Unit if required in emergencies.
Chris Aitken, Director of Froglands Purrfection, said: “I have two cats myself so I know the kind of service I would want a cattery to provide for them. By opening Froglands Purrfection I am able to provide this service to other cat owners too.”
The pens at Froglands Purrfection Cattery are fully licensed and have been purposely built and are larger than conventional pens, providing the option for two cats to be housed together if they are part of the same family.
There is also a family pen available for up to four cats from the same family.
Chris added: “When I used to look at a cattery for my cats, the environment in the surrounding area was and is very important because I wanted them to remain content while they were away from me.
“I wanted to make sure that Froglands Purrfection Cattery service included a personal service, so the cattery is set at the top of my garden, overlooking the valley and beautiful woodlands with a fantastic and tranquil idyllic setting view by day and night with the lights over the valley, which is a calming effect for the cats themselves".
There are also sneeze barriers between each of the pens, which allows the cats to see and hear each other, but stops any infection being passed. Again this takes away the loneliness some suffer from.
Chris said, "We wanted to allow the cats to interact with one another, but also wanted to avoid the potential of infection being spread, we added the barriers to assist with this.
