London for £10 and under? Yes, it's possible if you're FRUGL

Frugl is the events discovery app aimed at helping cash-strapped Londoners (and tourists) find affordable things to do in the Capital is available for iPhones.

Frugl is the idea of Suzanne Noble, a New Yorker resident in London over 35 years. For the past twenty-plus years Suzanne has been a successful entertainment publicist, but has now joined the world of tech start-ups.

The app works by curating content from multiple sources including Facebook and Eventbrite to showcase a range of events ranging from live music to comedy, nightclubs, art installations, sample sales, all either free or £10 and under. Events are presented as Free or Cheap. The Frugl “What’s Hot” features the top events of the day as chosen by the Frugl team while the Explore page shows the user events near them or London’s top ‘Going Out’ areas.

“There are so many listings websites in London that finding things to do that don’t cost much can be a real headache, “ says Suzanne. “London may be one of the most expensive cities in the world but you don’t need to spend much to go out if you know where to look. My aim with Frugl was to make it easier to find those hidden gems whether it is an American indie band over for one night and playing in a local pub or the latest up and rising comic. Fashionistas can expect the inside track on where to find the latest sample and vintage sales – one of my personal passions.”

Since launching the App last year the App has been downloaded thousands of time and won the Smarta Mobile Business of the Year in November 2014. Buzzfeed cited it recently as one of "22 Apps every Londoner Must Have."

Suzanne has big plans for Frugl and is currently working with developers to bring it to other platforms enabling anyone anywhere to be able to find 'the best of their City on a budget.'

Frugl is free to download from the App Store.
