Chamber Launches New Partnership with National Federation of Builders

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has signed a new partnership with the National Federation of Builders.

The partnership will connect the business community of the UK’s largest Chamber of Commerce with one of the UK’s longest standing trade bodies. Property & Construction has long been one of the largest sectors in the Chamber’s membership and this partnership will further cement its significance to the Chamber.

Diane Elebert-Morgan, Property & Construction Group Manager at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re delighted to be embarking on this new partnership with the National Federation of Builders. The Chamber has a thriving Property & Construction group, so we already have strong links to the sector in Greater Manchester.

“This new partnership gives us national reach and allows us to work with the NFB on issues that affect members of both organisations. I look forward to working with the team at NFB for the mutual benefit of both organisations and our members.”

The National Federation of Builders represents builders, contractors and house builders across England and Wales, representing 21,000 employees and £6.6bn turnover. As one of the UK’s longest standing trade bodies, it was created to represent the building profession and to promote the conditions its members need to thrive and contribute to the economic success of the UK. NFB members range from the sole trader to large, multi-million-pound construction companies, with turnover ranging from below £500,000 to over £1.1 billion. The federation provides expert advice, training, representation and business services for members so that they can comply with industry standards, excel in delivery, and grow successful businesses.

Danny Clarke, Commercial Director at National Federation of Builders, commented: “I am pleased that the National Federation of Builders and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce have developed a strong partnership agreement. As the partnership grows over time, the strength of working together and providing opportunities, advice, guidance and best practice within the Greater Manchester region for construction is a logical and exciting step forward. The partnership means both Greater Manchester Chamber and NFB members can benefit from the value both organisations bring to the region.”

The benefits of the new partnership will include:

• The Chamber and the NFB promoting one another’s services and memberships to their existing client base

• NFB members getting free of charge access to the Chamber Members’ Lounge at Elliot House, Manchester and a 20% discount on room bookings

• NFB members receiving a 20% discount on the price of Chamber membership (new members only)

• Chamber members receiving a 20% discount on joining the NFB (new members only)
