Chamber Launches Partnership with Eight Engines

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has announced a new partnership with video production company Eight Engines.

Originally founded as a TV production company making award-winning dramas for the BBC, Manchester-based Eight Engines expanded into marketing in 2017 and now produces content for clients ranging from household names to SMEs.

Commenting on the new partnership, Lewis Crowe, Head of Membership & Commercial at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Eight Engines as our new partner. The company is a great Manchester success story and an industry leader with an impressive list of clients.

“I’m sure our members will benefit from the expertise of Eight Engines, which will help them raise their profile whatever their size may be. Eight Engines is passionate about helping other local businesses succeed and ensuring that they get the recognition they deserve.”

A spokesperson for Eight Engines added: “Being part of Manchester’s vibrant business community fuels our creativity every day. It’s a hub where amazing people converge, and the city’s unmistakable buzz energises our work at Eight Engines. It’s great to feel like, in a small way, we’re contributing to a narrative of innovation and growth that makes Manchester unique.

"At Eight Engines, our senior team brings experience from some of the UK's biggest productions and top agencies. But what sets us apart is our close-knit, in-house team. In a film industry often reliant on freelancers coming together temporarily, which results in wasted time and money though communication issues. We've built a team that's been collaborating for years—some of us have known each other for three decades. This long-standing partnership makes us a well-oiled machine, ready to hit the ground running on any project. Our sets are not just efficient; they're enjoyable places where everyone can do their best work. Beyond crafting visually stunning videos, we're committed to developing tailored video strategies, designed to ensure we don’t just make pretty videos but we build campaigns that help our clients achieve their goals.

"Video is no longer a 'nice-to-have' in today's marketing landscape; it's an absolute essential. Consumers are inundated with video content daily and their understanding of quality has never been higher. Eight Engines is on a mission to level the playing field for businesses in Manchester, particularly for members of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. We're offering world-class video content that doesn't break the bank, ensuring you can compete with the giants in your industry. As an exclusive opportunity, we're providing Chamber members a free 30-minute video strategy consultancy call to explore how video can help them achieve their marketing objectives."

About Eight Engines

Eight Engines’ mission is to make video that’s impossible to ignore, capturing the essence of unforgettable stories. It has a long history of creating jaw-dropping video campaigns, from commercial to broadcast, corporate to arts films. Eight Engines aims to give businesses across Manchester, and the whole of the UK, the power to use video to meet their goals, without breaking the bank.

Despite its love of video, the company’s unofficial slogan is “nobody wants a video.” It’s true; everyone wants to use video to achieve a goal; they want the results, not the video itself. With that in mind, Eight Engines is all about getting involved with companies early to create a video strategy that helps them achieve their goals and take their business to the next level.

The Eight Engines team has a vast amount of experience working across some of the UK’s biggest film productions. This experience has not only given the team an unparalleled understanding of the entire production process but has also taught it how traditional filmmaking methods can waste budgets on outdated and unnecessary processes. With that in mind, Eight Engines is deeply committed to ensuring every penny of a budget is spent on elements that improve the finished product.

Eight Engines’ goal is to make the whole process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible for its clients, supporting them with every aspect of a project from inception to delivery. It takes away the stresses associated with film production for our partners and focus on building a relationship based on communication, collaboration, and creativity.
