Stockport Company Wins National Chamber Business Award

One+All has been crowned The Community Champion national winner in the Chamber Business Awards 2022.

The accolade comes after One+All was last month named regional winner of The Community Champion Award in the Chamber Business Awards, which are organised by British Chambers of Commerce to recognise the achievements of the national Chamber of Commerce Network.

The Stockport-based schoolwear supplier is 100% employee-owned and a Certified B Corporation. At every step of its products’ journeys, One+All aims to do the right thing for its team, its partners, the planet, and for its customers.

Nicola Ryan, Director of Colleague Support at One+All, said: “We are delighted to have won the national community award at the Chamber Business Awards. We were already very pleased to have won the regional award and the Greater Manchester Chamber award, but to be recognised at a national level is very special.

“Our local community is so diverse and there are some fantastic people doing great work within it. We encourage all organisations to engage with their community and the third sector to add value to businesses and local communities to the benefit of all.”

Lea-Anne Gardner, Membership Events & Commercial Manager at Greater Manchester Chamber, added: “We’re very proud that a Greater Manchester Chamber member has won this national award. The judges have recognised that One+All is a leader in its field, not just locally, but across the country.

“One+All makes a great contribution to the community. It is a shining example of a company that recognises that success goes hand in hand with looking after its colleagues, suppliers and the wider community.”

One+All also won the Community Champion Award at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Excellence Awards last month (pictured). The Community Champion Award was sponsored by Suez, which operates the waste and resources contracts on behalf of Greater Manchester Combined Authority, managing 1.1 million tonnes of municipal waste from more than one million households across nine Greater Manchester districts.

The Chamber Excellence Awards, which were sponsored by Biffa, recognise the achievements of Greater Manchester businesses in a range of areas including export, entrepreneurship, diversity and sustainability.

The Excellence Awards were presented at an awards evening held by the Chamber at Victoria Warehouse in Trafford Park.

The other award winners were:

• Entrepreneurial Success - I love Snacks

• Diversity and Inclusion - Equals Money

• Green & Sustainable Strategy - Crystal Doors

• Exporting Excellence - IDEM Safety Switches Ltd

• Learning and Development - RVA Surveyors

• Scale-Up Business - Hive Projects

About Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is the largest Chamber of Commerce in the UK, providing business support to approximately 4,500 members who collectively employ 446,000 people, around one-third of Greater Manchester’s workforce. Recognised as a leader in its field, Greater Manchester Chamber’s reputation in government circles has grown locally and nationally. At the heart of the area of greatest economic intensity outside London and the South East, the Chamber is the primary body for business support, policy, representation and networking. The Chamber is an independent, not-for-profit private company and its aim is to support businesses and help create the best climate for the region to prosper. This is achieved by ensuring that those taking decisions on key issues such as transport, taxation and business regulation hear the voice of our members. The representation of our members’ views is central to the work of the policy team at the Chamber; these views are gathered in a range of ways including our local councils, policy committees, sector councils, the main Chamber council, focus groups, meetings with politicians and consultations. The Chamber also offers a range of networking forums across Greater Manchester, free as part of membership, plus a variety of other events and services designed to benefit specific sectors or individuals and help businesses to grow.
