Summit to Highlight Key Issues in the Construction Sector

Two hundred business leaders will attend the fourth Annual Construction Summit North on 13th & 14th September.

Highlights of the summit include the launch of the Chamber’s latest Construction Pipeline Analysis and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham taking part in a discussion on transport and infrastructure.

The event, which is the largest of its kind outside of London, will connect delegates with some of the biggest names in the industry and will be a unique opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the region.

Organised by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the University of Salford, the event will explore how the Government’s industrial strategy, regional devolution and the affordable homes programme will shape the North’s property sector in the years to come.

Chris Fletcher, Marketing and Policy Director at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “The UK faces a series of unique challenges over the coming years on the back of June’s General Election and Brexit.

“Locally, the first round of elected mayors is now in place (others will follow from 2020 onwards). With record levels of interest and investment in development, major new construction schemes about to start such as HS2 and more on the planning board, there are huge opportunities to take advantage of.

“The day is about identifying these opportunities and asking what are the priorities, what are the barriers to getting action underway and how can they be sorted? With government and others in need of ideas, the sector is ideally placed to input and shape its own future.”

There is a ‘buy one get one free’ offer on tickets for the summit. Email e.leach@one-cpd.co.uk, to take advantage of this offer.
