For those wanting an active holiday in 2020, look no further than Green Jersey British & Continental Cycling Tour's trip to the Oberammergau Passion Play - by bike, naturally!

Inspired by the Victorian writer Jerome K Jerome's account of his trip to the famous play, Green Jersey director Charlie Bladon reckons this is the ideal active trip for next year. The play is only performed once a decade, which puts it in the 'now-or-never' (or at least the 'now-or-wait-a-long-time') category. As importantly, in this age of instant gratification and travelling to arrive, this trip is a journey in every sense of the word; 12 days' cycling a bike across some of Europe's most beautiful landscapes, passing such landmarks as Chantilly chateau, the battlefields of Verdun, the Vosges mountains, the Black Forest, the source of the Danube and Neuschwanstein castle, before arriving at the small Bavarian village where the play depicting the Passion of Christ has been acted out by village inhabitants every decade since 1634, as thanksgiving for sparing the village from plague.

Included in the price are top category tickets and accommodation in good quality hotels, with most evening meals included; full vehicle back up and luggage transfers and the services of two experienced tour guides.
