Happy Beginnings mean Happy Futures, says Happy Days Suffolk

Suffolk-based Happy Days Childcare strongly believes that quality of the first five years of a child’s life are of the most vital importance to their emotional development and academic success later on.

This is backed up by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which has also stated that early childhood development is a crucial stage in determining health, learning, well-being and behaviour of a child in the years afterwards.

“We firmly believe these earliest years build the foundation for the rest of a child’s life,” said Debbie Corsby, the owner since 2016. “That’s why we put so much effort into getting our childcare right at Happy Days Childcare.”

The nursery is open from 7am until 6.30pm and is based off the A143 between Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill. Among its highly qualified staff is a full-time teacher.

“We monitor children’s progress very closely, and provide home-cooked meals as well as spacious premises,” adds Debbie, who has 30 years’ childcare experience and became qualified in 1998.

“The children love to take walks in nearby woodland and learn about the natural world with us. I have a committed staff of differing ages, who can offer a wide range of experiences to the children. I also make sure that all employees have contact with children in each of our three rooms so that each child’s transitions is smoother, with growing confident as they move up through levels to the classrooms and then ready for school.”

The nursery have been recently redecorated, and Happy Days are now looking in particular to expand its class for two-year-olds.
