LONDON, MARCH 2022: Healthy Nibbles, have announced today the launch of Europe's first BCorp vending machine in London, at Good News, a space championing brands that use business as a force for good.

Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies meeting verified high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Every March, the global B Corp community celebrate what it means to be a B Corp, building awareness around the movement and those using business as a force for good. This year’s theme is ‘Behind the B’, inviting everyone behind the scenes to uncover what makes them a B Corp, and ultimately a better business.

Through collaboration with Freuds, the largest communications agency to be B Corp certified, Healthy Nibbles have chosen Good News to launch the retail innovation, whilst helping to shine a light on the huge range of businesses and brands that are B Corp certified.

Healthy Nibbles' continued innovation comes at a time when businesses and consumers are seeking healthier and more sustainable food solutions at work, home and on-the-go.

Sara Roberts, Founder of Healthy Nibbles, says “Being a young company our eyes are open to the damage caused by uncaring business; for us, that’s a powerful challenge to build our business better. Championing health and wellbeing for people at the same time as committing to the highest standards of social and environmental impact is at the heartbeat of Healthy Nibbles. Curating a range that is not only healthy, but focused on impact and sustainability helps build transparency and confidence in the consumer.

Being able to launch the BCorp vending machine at the Good News pop up is particularly exciting."

Prodigy Snacks Founder, Sameer Vawani adds, "B Corp businesses operate consciously and mindfully, in full consideration of their impact on the environment and their respective communities – they choose to operate with high standards of governance, equal opportunity, diversity & inclusion – all values that we hold dear at Prodigy Snacks as well.

In our case, this means we limit our impact on the environment from our operations, we limit our energy consumption and set goals for reducing them year on year. We set up supply chains with more integrity and more traceability, we build more diverse and thus effective teams, and we are more conscious about a happier and healthier working environment that is void of prejudice or discrimination of any kind."

Notes to Editors

The Healthy Nibbles story began when its Founder, Sara, was at her father’s hospital bedside. Hungry, at 3 am, she found that the only food available was from a vending machine. A poster next to the machine warned her ominously that “diabetes and obesity kill.” But the machine offered only the usual selection of crisps, chocolate bars and fizzy drinks; there were no healthy choices. Frustrated by this juxtaposition, and alongside her personal wellness journey, Sara developed the concept of Healthy Nibbles. Today, she is leading the charge by bringing healthy out-of-home choices to UK offices, travel hubs and letterboxes.

The need for Healthy Nibbles is clear and simple, yet urgent. Rising levels of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease are placing significant burdens on the UK economy. Businesses are losing 97m workdays annually due to poor diet. The NHS is at breaking point. The time for preventative healthcare is now.

Healthy Nibbles are committed to enabling healthier choices, providing an opportunity for people to make positive lifestyle choices beginning with their health. Our goal is to help companies and organisations improve their culture, pioneer new workplace wellness ideas thereby increasing health, happiness and productivity.

As a business, Healthy Nibbles is built with strong foundations and robust principles. We are made up of a team of skilled people who have similar goals and ambitions, committed to building a sustainable business with purpose.
