28-Day Lockdown Workout Challenge

A British fitness influencer is challenging people to stay active despite lockdown forcing gyms to close their doors.

Founder of the specialist website Home Gym Review, Thomas Paddock, created the 28-day Lockdown Workout Challenge to help people maintain and improve fitness in their own homes.

Thomas said: "I created this website to offer a workout journey, as I suffered both physically and mentally myself during the first lockdown. So, I made a promise to myself that I would stay physically fit, which helps to release beneficial chemicals and promotes mental health.”

Home Gym Review has all the resources you need to undertake the challenge including different types of fitness regimes, home gym equipment advice and ways to improvise with everyday objects instead of exercise apparatus.

While many challenges involve doing the same exercises each day, the 28-Day Lockdown Workout Challenge completely mixes things up, putting participants through their paces with workouts, including boxing and high-intensity interval training.

There are many websites offering workout guides and advice for subscriptions of £9.99 or more a month, but Home Gym Review is 100 per cent free.

Exercise is proven to enhance many aspects of physical and psychological wellbeing including weight management, cardiovascular health, boosting positivity and combating depression.

Thomas added: “Exercise releases endorphins which immediately trigger a positive feeling. With the gyms closed, many people have slowed down to the point where they have stopped exercising completely.

“I did this myself during the first lockdown so I know how difficult it can be to motivate yourself.

“I would urge anybody to take up the 28-Day Lockdown Workout Challenge and make a real, lasting change to their lives and wellbeing.”

About Home Gym Review

I started this website during the second lockdown, to help document my journey & to motivate others whilst working out at home. It contains lots of different exercise challenges to keep your workouts fresh and exciting, alongside workout guides to help people use the correct form avoiding injury. I am also helping people that want to create their own gym, explaining what equipment is required & reviewing specific equipment.
