Tech start-up imployable are using their pre-existing career management technology, to help support education providers and the governments ‘welfare to work’ scheme. The tech is used to support those who are unemployed, or looking for a career transition, to find a career that suits them. However, in the wake of the pandemic, many people have lost their career, or realised their current career no longer works for them. So many have turned to training providers. So much so that, training providers have been struggling to keep up with the demand, and this is leaving many without options of retraining.

For all of the sectors that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The education sector was one that was hit the hardest. Schools had to find a work around in terms of going digital, but this proved to be less efficient than in-class teaching. This has eventually caused many students to have fallen behind in their education, which can go on to affect their future career prospects. Just this year saw a drop in A level and GCSE results. On top of this, with many employees looking for better opportunities, the market for training organisations is a competitive one, but one that can be overwhelmed fairly quickly.

imployable are expanding their cohort management platform, called imployable Cohort, to allow training organisations to track, manage and pull reports on their learners they put through their courses. On top of this, the learners will have access to the imployable app to effectively manage their future career before they finish their learning, making the process more efficient. To be able to provide such a tool to the education sector, will be able to close to ever increasing skill gap.

Currently imployable have won 3 contracts to help support the education sector. These are with Jobs 22, Maximus, and The Skills Network; with all three involving Cohort to help support the contracts. These contracts will be carried out over the next 4 months, and will help many find employment through various learning bootcamps.

Imployable are an award-winning Plymouth-based tech company. Founded by two Former Royal Marines, imployable have created an app-based platform that is specifically designed to bridge the gaps in employment and facilitate career tracking.
