Founded by British-American art gallery director, Rebecca Davies, Invite Press represents a departure from the now popular digital stationery and a return to something more traditional. “In a world where everyone is besieged by the digital all day long, we want to bring back the excitement of receiving something personal and beautiful in the post. The birth of a child, the announcement of a wedding or the celebration of a birthday are all special moments to share with family and friends. With Invite Press these announcements can be made tangible and personal, as special as the events they commemorate,” she says.
Rebecca was frustrated by the lack of choice and quality for customised invitations and cards and felt the market was divided between relatively dull commercial printers’ sites and extremely expensive bespoke stationery, with little choice in between.
“Being from America originally, I was used to having access to dozens of sites where I could find beautiful designs printed on high-quality paper for everything from wedding invitation suites to personalised family Christmas cards. With Invite Press we aim to fill that gap and produce luxury stationery at a fair price and with quick turnarounds.”
Each piece of Invite Press’s stationery is printed in the South of England on a choice of two different 300 gsm FSC-certified paper stocks that won’t bust the bridal budget.
For the lead-up to the big day, brides can order stationery suites including invites, save the dates, RSVP cards and guest information cards. For on-the-day special touches, there is a selection of matching designs for orders of service and menus and once the confetti settles brides can select from a range of gorgeous thank you cards.
