Helping Fathers to Overcome Postnatal Depression

While postnatal depression is commonly known to affect some women, it's not widely publicised that fathers can also be affected. In time for Father's Day, resilience wellbeing coach, NLP & kinetic shift practitioner, mindfulness practitioner and published author, Zeenat Noorani, wants to change that. She is launching a workshop aimed at addressing the issues that affect fathers, and what they can do to help.

As many as 1 in 10 men can experience perinatal and/or postnatal depression when their partner has a baby. And 38% of first-time fathers say they’re concerned about their mental health*.

In this new workshop, Zeenat Noorani will help dads who are worried about how having a baby will change their life, whether they're a first-time father or already have children. Participants will:

- Understand that their fears, worries and concerns are perfectly normal – and that they're not alone

- Learn how to recognise common signs and symptoms that their mental health might be affected – such as high levels of stress and anxiety

- Gain practical advice, tools and tips they can use straight away.

They will also leave with a copy of Zeenat Noorani’s eBook, ‘How to be an Awesome Dad’, and understand how personal coaching with Zeenat can further support them.

Titled 'How to be an Awesome Dad', the workshop takes place on Wednesday 10 July 2019, from 7-9pm at Community House Halls, Bistro Café, South Street, Bromley BR1 1RH. Tickets cost £25.00 in advance or £30.00 drop-in on the door. Anyone wanting to book tickets should visit: https://awesomedad.eventbrite.co.uk/
