• Jenny Kate aims to become a major player in retail following £350,000 investment injection

• Jenny Kate Ltd launches their first inaugural collection ‘Binding Roots’ on the 23rd of May

Interiors and fashion walk hand in hand with Jenny Kate Ltd – a new luxury brand who aims to be the new force of nature in the world of British home-wares and accessories.

Undeniably British in tone and aesthetic, the designs artfully combine the light and shade, and the beauty and the darkness of British flora and fauna. Jenny Kate’s exciting and beautifully curated new collection ‘Binding Roots’ launches online on May 23rd.

Culminating from a childhood spent outdoors exploring nature, it’s these days spent adventuring that form the basis of each of Jenny’s designs and helped established the company’s tag line ‘Open the door to nature’. With all products being made in Britain, Jenny Kate Ltd seeks to support UK manufacturing industries whilst bringing the very best product to the customer.

Highlights of the ‘Binding Roots’ collection include maximalist wallpaper, double-sided cushions and striking silk scarves that feature indigenous adders that twist and writhe amongst a creeping flowering vine. The entire collection is available to purchase via the unique, sensory pop-up store which will be located in Holborn, London between the 24th May and 1st June and also through the Jenny Kate website. From May 23rd. Recently appointed UK Chair of the Young Entrepreneurs Unit for the Federation of Small Businesses, Jenny herself is a dynamic and passionate young female entrepreneur. Aged 24, Jenny already has a dual site company with offices in both Cardiff and her home town of Plymouth. Her company currently employs a team of 8 other like-minded creatives to evolve and grow the company into a highly recognisable British brand.

Jenny Evans, CEO and Designer of Jenny Kate says:

“The last twelve months have been incredible – transitioning from an undergraduate to CEO and leading a team of 8 inspiring individuals. I am utterly thrilled to finally be able to launch Jenny Kate’s debut collection ‘Binding Roots’. This brand is all about celebrating nature, craftsmanship and creativity in a new and quirky way. I have witnessed my ideas and drawings come to life in front of my eyes. The support of the team, investors, family and friends has been invaluable and has played an essential role in helping us get to this point.”

Ashley Cooper, Investor and Chairman of the Jenny Kate board said:

“My co-investors and I were immediately drawn to Jenny and her passion, belief and enthusiasm for the Jenny Kate brand which is both fresh and exciting. We see a real gap in the market for a vibrant new brand and are delighted to be backing Jenny with both financial investment and expertise, from a diverse group of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. As Chair of the Board, I look forward to working with Jenny and helping Jenny Kate becoming a hugely successful and iconic British Brand.”

About Jenny Kate LTD

Our founder and CEO Jenny is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur, passionate about quality design. Jenny draws each and every one of our products by hand, meticulously pouring over photographs, antique illustrations and collected specimens before drawing the individual elements that make up a print. We use the best manufacturers of their kind in Britain to bring our products to life. Evolving from Jenny’s initial concept sketches into a range of high-quality homewares and fashion accessories, each manufacturer we work with is specially selected for their attention to detail and ethical values. We want to sustain what we celebrate, so all of our unused fabric is sent to our in-house prototyper, to create new product ranges and respond to what our customers want. We are proud to reduce waste and encourage our customers to do the same, by saying no to ‘fast fashion’ and investing instead, in pieces, they will love for a long time.
