This year, with face to face events challenging, the regional heats will be celebrated online on September 23rd.

Founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Francesca James, said: “Given what we’ve seen over the past few months, the 2020 edition of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards is arguably the most important. Now, more than ever, it’s vital that we celebrate the achievements of the country’s entrepreneurs and their determination in the face of such adversity.

Two Buckinghamshire mothers have been shortlisted from a long list of nominations, for the Pivot category in the south east Regional Finals of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Global pandemic forces two mothers to change the direction of their business, remain open and allow them to go back to their original passion!

Claudia and Elisha are old school friends that started a property management company business in 2017. A year after they realised that there were not many women involved in that industry so put together a course called ‘Juggle The Struggle’ which teaches mothers how to set up a profitable property management company all whilst juggling their family households.

However during lockdown, the steady climate started to crash, many tenants couldn’t afford to pay, so instead of throwing the towel in the air, they had to re-evaluate their business model!

Claudia, who is also a foster carer saw there was a need in the area of 16-21 year old care leavers, a few would leave care with no homes to go to. That’s when the brainwave came to combine their two passions, family and property!

The two entrepreneurs, whilst homeschooling and navigating what Covid meant set up JMV Homes Care and Co, which provides supported housing for care leavers.
