Leeds-based entrepreneur to be ‘Kwizzed’ by millionaire investors
A Leeds-based technology entrepreneur will appear on Dragons’ Den at 9pm on 24th September 2017.
The founder and managing director of revolutionary pub quiz technology KwizzBit, can be seen entering the den on BBC Two on Sunday evening. Mark Walsh will pitch to the panel of infamous ‘Dragons’ in the hope of securing investment to accelerate business growth and add additional experience and knowledge to the team.
Mark, who launched the web-based platform in 2016 has implemented the technology in more than 250 pubs across the UK and has plans to reach one million KwizzBit players by 2020.
In this episode of Dragons’ Den, viewers will hear about Mark’s entrepreneurial journey; including the inspiration he received from his father and the motivation he now has as a father himself, to take his business to the next level.
Mark will explain how his twenty years’ experience in sales and marketing and his previous business successes have led him to create KwizzBit.
Mark Walsh, the inventor and creator behind KwizzBit, came up with the idea after recognising that the traditional pub quiz could be used as a profitable tool to attract and retain custom, but that it was littered with problems of cheating and repetitive results.
KwizzBit provides a Google-proof alternative to the traditional pub quiz and those who have implemented the software, have reported an increase in sales on the evenings the KwizzBit game has been played, with many seeing a turnover increase of more than 100%.
Mark now has exciting plans for the software to cater to the learning and development market, along with a promotional offering, having recently secured a contract to supply the platform to a firm who will roll KwizzBit out to staff training workshops nationwide.
KwizzBit is played in a real-time format and combines the conventional elements of a quiz with the excitement of interactive digital entertainment. Allowing users to host and engage in entertaining multiplayer quizzes via a smartphone, players compete for the fastest correct answer and receive feedback of the leaders to their device. Kwizzbit is cheat-proof as it does not give users the opportunity to search online for answers.
