The UK's Nuclear Scandal

NUCLEAR TEST VETERAN RELEASES NEW BOOK EXPOSING THE UK'S NUCLEAR SCANDAL.

The book “ The UK’s Nuclear Scandal “ is a history of the events leading up to 1952-67 nuclear bomb testing and what has happened since. It is written from sourced archive and other documents gathered and collated by nuclear test veterans.

The book has been written from archives and other documents listed as source references in the book. The foreword is by a legal practitioner on three continents, Ian Anderson who is currently based in New York. The book has been written on behalf of the Combined History Archive of Nuclear Veterans on behalf of all who took part in the UK nuclear weapon tests.

Dennis Hayden was a young man when he was sent by the British Military to Maralinga, Australia to witness the Nuclear Tests.

During the time writing the book since January this year four of the leading nuclear test campaigners have died. It is in memory of these people and countless others that the book has been written.

Dennis is a nuclear test veteran living in the Forest of Dean since 1976. In the late 1990’s he founded the Combined Veterans’ Forum which in 2003 became the Combined Veterans’ Forum International when he began exchanging information with UK, Australian, and New Zealand who had attended UK nuclear weapon tests in Australia and the Pacific between 1952 and 1967. This was to assist the Atomic Veterans Group Litigation led by Rosenblatt Solicitors of London that took place between 2005 and 2013.

The final cover artwork was inspired by the HOOF campaign – Hands Off Our Forest - a decade ago when a wooden model of the House of Parliament was set on fire by independent-minded Foresters in a field close to the Speech House Hotel.
