LearnBox joins ‘Take Action, Get Active’ campaign for Mental Health Week

National Mental Health Week is here and one creative business is ready and raring to go with the ‘Take Action, Get Active’ campaign.

LearnBox, who create high-quality educational video content, has signed up for the challenge to raise awareness of mental health and raise money for the Mental Health Foundation, who is spearheading the campaign.

The theme of this year’s ‘Take Action, Get Active’ campaign is kindness - and the LearnBox team say that their approach is to show how being kind to your own mind and body can reap rewards, adding that the global pandemic means that it is ‘more important than ever’ to focus on mental and physical health.

LearnBox empowers adult learners and targets workforce skills gaps with video empowered learning, and was established in 2016. Its team, lead by founder and CEO Lucy Dunleavy, will be participating in various activities throughout the week - from walking to HIIT workouts to cooking - and producing and sharing daily video updates showing their progress.

Lucy Dunleavy, founder and CEO of LearnBox, said: “Mental health is something that I value massively – I believe it’s important that we look after ourselves and others; family, friends, colleagues and we’re mindful of how we can make people feel. This is why the topic of kindness is so poignant and especially now, at a time when a lot of people are in need of it. A small act of kindness goes a long way and we can start with ourselves.

“An activity that keeps our mind and body moving makes a significant difference to our health and happiness. I continuously encourage my team to take part in daily exercise, set challenges and goals and constantly strive to learn and improve. We’re looking forward to collectively participating in this campaign and working to make a difference.”
