Moss Bank Junior Football Club Announced as Grassroots Football Club of the Year
Moss Bank Junior Football Club is delighted to announce that it has been named as Grassroots Football Club of the Year by the Lancashire FA.
The accolade was particularly poignant as it was awarded on the Chairman Emeritus’, Gary Russell, birthday, shortly before the year anniversary of his passing.
Moss Bank Junior Football Club, who’s main partner is LeasingOptions.co.uk, one of the UK’s leading car leasing companies, was awarded the title in recognition of its unbelievable transformation as a club, growing its membership from 10 to over 510 in 14 years, and for operating a ‘football for all’ ethos within the community.

Moss Bank Juniors Football Club, situated at the LeasingOptions pavilion, on Church Road, has over 500 members, 40 teams and 80 dedicated coaches and volunteers. The LeasingOptions.co.uk pavilion has a nine a side pitch, 11-a-side, three five-a-side pitches and two seven-a-side pitches. This is in addition to another six pitches from nine-a-side upwards across the site.
