Blanc Creative highlights the importance of quality photography and video in advance of World Creativity Day
Norwich-based photography and video company Blanc Creative are showcasing the creative sides of their work ahead of the UN’s World Creativity and Innovation Day on April 21.
Business owner Lee Blanchflower said: “We reckon the day is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how creative commercial photography and video work can be. Creativity infuses everything we do, and we’re always thinking about what it means to be creative.
“Passion is a word that’s been thrown around so often it’s become almost meaningless. So we tend not to. But we definitely love what we do, and we’re all about beautifully composed visual ideas.”
Clients of Blanc Creative have included the Forestry Commission, and the business has a particular specialism in filming the video for live events such as music festivals.
Last year, the company was involved in creating the Christmas brochure for local traders in the Norfolk town of Walsingham, incorporating some stunning food photography. It’s also involved in press work and the organisation’s images have gone around the world.
Architecture and interiors form further specialisms, as do corporate headshots – even these can be taken with creativity.
Marked globally, World Creativity and Innovation Day falls just six days after the birthday of one of the most important creatives of all time, Leonardo da Vinci.
The UN said in a statement that the event was well placed to stimulate multidisciplinary creative thinking to help in the achievement of a sustainable future.
A UNESCO report said creative and cultural industries should be at the vanguard of economic growth strategies.
